Development

We combine our proven production technology with thermal technology development work. We thereby set ourselves new technological challenges every day.

Technical tests can be carried out in our central laboratory – very close to their production conditions.

Our heat and cooling technology laboratory contains special testing equipment, which can be used to ascertain the efficiency of individual components or whole groups of parts for different fields of application:

  • The processes of vaporisation and condensation of refrigerants, which are so important in cooling and air-conditioning technology are studied in our purpose-built test centres, There are dimensions with almost all safety refrigerants, such as R134a, R410A, R407C and R404A.
  • For the heating engineering field of application, studies on heat generation and heat storage can be conducted: A level of measurement for gas-fired heating and fuel equipment allows the precise collection of all important performance and combustion data. In a test set-up to simulate heat storage, the flow processes can be observed in free convection. This supplies the bases for optimising heat exchanges for the use of conventional and regenerative energy sources.
  • In a special test field we are developing and testing solutions for hydraulic and motor oil cooling using air.

For product and process development project, early on we were using different calculation tools: We simulate forming processes according to the finite elements method, and we analyse formulation of heat transfer using numerical flow simulation. Our developments are therefore targeted and efficient.
