Star Tubes

An economic and established solution for enhanced heat transfer

Star tubes are heat-exchanger tubes where the tube is bonded on a star-shaped aluminium extrusion inside ensuring excellent thermal contact. The star shape increases the surface on the inside and the heat transfer gets significantly enhanced.

With the use of star tubes, the efficiency of dry expansion heat exchangers, compressed air-cooling and heat-recovery systems is raised. This proven and established technology facilitates the realisation of technically as well as economically demanding concepts.

Star tubes with 5 or 10 beams

The star tube is available in a variety of different dimensions; our current porfolio includes 5 or 10 beams with an external diameter range from 15 to 19 mm. If desired, an additional structure can be added on the outside.surface.

Materials

We offer a broad portfolio of materials and can expand our offering at any time to meet your specific needs regarding thermal conductivity, mechanical properties, or corrosion resistance. Star tubes are available in copper, copper-nickel, aluminum, and steel.
