GEWA-K and GEWA-KS

For refrigerant condensers and evaporators a large heat transfer surface and at the same time compact system size is of fundamental importance. In this way you maximise the heat transfer capacity and minimise the overall costs. You can achieve this by using low-finned Wieland GEWA-K und GEWA-KS tubes.

Product characteristics

  • Internal/external finned tubes for use in refrigerant condensers and evaporators
  • Materials: Copper, copper alloys and special brass
  • External diameter: 1/2“, 5/8“, 3/4“, 7/8“, 1“
  • Number of fins: 19-40 fpi
  • External fin height: 0.9-1.5mm
  • Also available as KS tube, optimised for dry-expansion evaporators

The advantages in comparison with smooth tube solutions

  • Great variety of dimensions
  • Considerable savings potential due to the reduction of the tube length required for the capacity
  • Option of compact, light and economical design of shell and tube heatexchangers
  • Reduction of refrigerant charge
