Combustion of fossil fuels produces exhaust gas containing water vapour. If this is cooled on a heat exchanger below the condensation point, the energy of the condensation heat of the water vapour can also be used. This increases the efficiency of the equipment. Condensing boiler technology, which was developed in the 1980s, makes it possible to almost completely use the fuel energy in hot water heating systems. The reduced use of resources in comparison with traditional technology protects the environment and reduces the running costs.
